Vacancy: Sales Manager, Safisana Ghana

Safisana Ghana, located in Adjei Kojo, Ashaiman is seeking to hire an experienced and dynamic full time Sales Manager to lead and oversee our sales team's efforts in achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.

About us
Safisana is an international social enterprise that has developed a circular business model for local waste treatment for governments, utilities and food processing industries. Our recycling plants turn organic waste and faecal sludge into high value products: renewable energy (electricity), organic fertilizer and irrigation water. Safisana also has an agronomy department that is into vegetable production in three sections: Greenhouse, Hydroponics and Farm Field. has developed a circular waste-to-resource business.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successful sales leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to develop and execute effective sales strategies.It is expected that the sales manager will spend a high percentage of his time in the field engaged directly in selling activities and transitioning gradually over to working mostly through the sales team to achieve sales targets  As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in motivating, training, and guiding the sales team to exceed performance goals while maintaining strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will lead the sales for Safisana’s products which includes organic fertilizer and farm produce.

● Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with the company's overall objectives and revenue targets.
● Execute strategic sales strategy to meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets for products including Safisana’s Asase Gyefo organic fertilizer and fresh vegetable produce.
● Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to optimize their performance, providing guidance on sales techniques, strategies, and customer interactions.
● Identify new market opportunities and potential clients, and develop strategies to effectively penetrate and expand the customer base.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sourcing, finance etc and customer support to ensure seamless customer experiences and the successful introduction of new products or services.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
● Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities.
● Conduct regular performance evaluations of the sales team, providing constructive feedback and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
● Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to inform sales strategies and tactics.
● Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products/services and enhance brand visibility.
● Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
● Teach other Safisana employees how to make sales to potential consumers.

● Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
● Proven track record of at least 6 years in sales, with 5 years in a leadership/sales management role.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

● Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
● Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse sales team.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
● Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive innovative sales approaches.
● Ability to make excellent decisions and overcome challenges creatively.
● Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
● Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
● Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and events.
● Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales management tools.
● Experience in customer relationship management and B2B selling.
