Good news for farmers: the local production of organic fertilizer in Ghana is picking up! At our composting pilot site in Kumasi, the first 30 kg bags of Asase Gyefo Premium Organic Fertilizer are bagged and ready for sales. The nutrient-rich soil enhancer is made of treated waste from the local food markets and households. The Safisana project is locally managed by Fred Agyemang (see video) in close collaboration with Kumasi Metropolitna Assembly  

Last month, Safisana Ghana Ltd. invited the Director of Waste Management of the Kumasi Metropoliton Assembly, mister Kotoka Prosper, for the official handover of the first bags of the locally produced premium organic fertilizer in Kumasi.

Since the start of this year, Safisana is cleaning up the local community by collecting the waste from the markets and households, and use it for the production of Asase Gyefo production at the composting site on Oti Landfill in Kumasi.
